These yoga blocks have been the MVPs of our apartment so far. So useful!

Initial cuts completed

Kinja'd!!!

Test fitting... Went great! Used a rubber mallet and got a tight pressure fit.

Kinja'd!!!

Unfortunately even taking measurements at various places along the wall, things still didn’t butt up perfectly. Curse this old place with wonky framing.

Kinja'd!!!

What’s a 1/4" between friends?

Total cost: $13.45 for the 8' piece of pine. Which I picked myself. Dunn Lumber is awesome, I’ll never buy wood at HD again.

Kinja'd!!!

Drove two screws through the top just as a precaution, but this thing isn’t going anywhere.

Kinja'd!!!

Trimmed it slightly to get a perfect fit with my bigly mirror. Now I wish I had done two cuts there so the wood followed the mirror along the back as well, instead of just the side. Ah well.

So you answered what the purple blocks were in a timely manner.

What were the two screws sunk into - in an apartment?

Meh. Filling holes is easy. I've got a ton of touch up paint for the eventual move out

Hahahaha, I had a feeling that was going to be the exact answer it drew.

Are you planning on eventually getting your entire front end repainted so it matches the body paint? That’s super faded there...

This deck is a good 40 ft long and I'm really enjoying how easy it is to do projects with that much space

If I wax the body with one coat, and do three coats on the front bumper, it matches perfectly for a few weeks. Right now though... Ugh. I can't even do a normal wash with everything shut down. Might honestly be the dirtiest she's ever been

I’m in the same position with the washing...the shutdown HAD to happen right after my roof work was finished... ugggggh.

Glad to see the Miata still around, but I thought you were selling it?

Yeah... With Covid-19 going on I was working 100+ hour weeks, so I stopped talking with all potential buyers for about 6 weeks. I just today sent messages out to everyone I had been communicating with, so we’ll see!

Definitely still want to sell.

Well, good luck! It was the car that convinced me Miatas could be fun, and I think I'll always have one (until I get a vintage Mini)
